A perennial leader in the modern design and home decor industry, Jonathan Adler needed a sustainable web design system to support its expansive product library and customization options.

PRIORITIZING CONSISTENCY

Updating and maintaining the website had become an arduous process for Jonathan Adler’s internal team, requiring frequent custom page builds and constant developer involvement. The manual nature of this process had led to visual and functional inconsistencies across the site. Our team was tasked with establishing a meticulous new design system within existing brand guidelines, to ensure cohesion and flexibility moving forward.

          We conducted a thorough audit of existing site elements, icons, typography, color, grids, and more to inform our new design system, which allowed us to establish familiar patterns for the user, and ensure visual consistency.

    The redefined design system would become the primary building block for a series of reusable page components, allowing the administrative team to build templates from an established library, rather than hard-coding individual pages.
